at last...

after three days of travelling, queuing and planning, we're finally
getting ourselves on the road. It's a familiarisation day, just to get
used to the set up of the bikes and, more crucially perhaps, to the
Indian traffic.
I've got a great team. It'll be the first time i've batted for the
Blues, but they are a lovely bunch. I'm the only girl on the team, so
i'm a bit nervous about ending up at the back all the time, but they
don't strike of as being any racers so maybe i'll be okay.
I'm writing this about 7 in the morning and the birds are going crazy.
Just seen the most pied of wagtails ever, solid black and white,
absolutely gorgeous little thing. There are parrots and enter and
warblers too, with kite and buzzard like speciadr high up. And of
course the most amazing kingfishers you can imagine. We've seen our
first elephant too, so looking very promising on the wildlife front.
